Seriously-ill children and their brothers and sisters from across the local area were given a well-deserved Christmas treat at the weekend.
Sebastian's Action Trust held their annual Christmas event, at Northcote House in Sunningdale. Over 300 children were invited to the Disney themed party, which proved to be a real success. Seriously-ill children and their families were able to enjoy a day of fun-filled activities, thanks to people who had kindly donated through CrowdPatch and the Trust's fundraising efforts throughout the year.
Lesley Macdonald, Family Services Lead for the Trust said: “Once again it was fantastic to see so many of the families we support having such a wonderful time. As well as being a very special day out and a well-deserved treat, the Christmas event gives families of seriously-ill children the chance to meet others in similar situations. The Christmas event creates memorable moments to last a lifetime".
Basingstoke mother, Sarah O'Driscoll attended the event and said, "I would like to say a big thank you to the team at Sebastian’s Action Trust, who hosted a truly amazing Christmas party. It was a very magical experience, not just for Jack, but for Hayden and Caitlin as well, even at their ages! It was a very special afternoon, that really made us feel very lucky to be a part of the Bluebells family. Your hard work and efforts really showed, thank you once again for a perfect day".
