The Trust has been very fortunate to receive funding from Children in Need, which has enabled us to increase the number of Support Workers we have and therefore the number of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions we can support.
On Friday 13th November a short film about the Trust will be featured on this year’s Appeal Show. The film will be broadcast on BBC South at around 9pm and will feature the moving stories of two of our families.
Chief Executive of the Trust, Jane Gates OBE, commented ‘The grant from Children in Need has enabled us to fund an outreach worker who provides an important service to families who are facing the death of a child, or who will live with the grief that comes with such a loss. This grant will help us continue to walk alongside such families, so we are very grateful to Children in Need for their valuable support. We are delighted that the Trust is featuring in the Appeal Show on BBC South this coming Friday.’
It is hoped that by featuring on the Appeal Show more people locally can find out about the work of the Trust and support our fundraising efforts, and help us continue to provide a valuable service to the families of seriously-ill children.
