On Sunday 29th March, families of seriously-ill children supported by Sebastian’s Action Trust were invited to join the Trust’s mascot, Bluebell Bear at its annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The event, hosted at Millers Ark in Hook, saw 160 families and friends come together and enjoy an action-packed afternoon consisting of a traditional Easter Egg Hunt, decorating eggs, face painting and petting and feeding farmyard animals.
Jane Gates OBE, CEO for the Trust said, “We were delighted to hold our annual Easter Egg Hunt, this year at Miller’s Ark. The Trust’s respite holiday home, The Bluebells usually plays host to this exciting event, however building work is due to commence on its extension which will enhance the services we can deliver to families of seriously-ill children.
“Our charity is committed to creating precious and memorable moments for children with complex health care needs and their families.
“We would like to also say a big thank you to BJP, GE and Priority Appointments for generously donating Easter Eggs for our event; in total we had well over 300 chocolate eggs! We were also grateful to receive toy bunnies from LEGO for those children who cannot eat chocolate. It’s the support from our families, volunteers and local companies that enables us to fulfil our aim of providing meaningful support and to be here for the families of seriously-ill children. Always”.
