New cinema room will help Sebastian's Action Trust add life to days

On December 11th we celebrated the unveiling of our wonderful new state-of-the-art cinema room at our family respite home, The Bluebells. This was made possible by a collaboration between Together For Cinema - a charity specialising in bringing cinema to respite facilities and hospices – and Kinektd, who managed the design and construction.

The launch was attended by Ian Morrish, founder of Together For Cinema, Shaun Wilson , Director of Knektd, and many of the suppliers who so generously donated equipment and services to help make this fantastic new facility possible. Jane Gates, our Chief Executive, commented; ‘The launch was a lovely opportunity to meet many of those who played a part in creating this fabulous new cinema room which will give joy and precious memories to so many of our beneficiaries, adding life to days in spite of an uncertain future.’

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our families to enjoy time together in the new cinema room. We are planning to organise some special film screenings to make the most of this fantastic facility.

We would like to say a very big ‘thankyou’ to everyone involved in making this possible and for bringing some of the magic of Hollywood to The Bluebells.

A timelapse video of the cinema room's construction can be viewed here.
