The Sebastian’s Action Trust 50:50 Lottery is a great way to have the chance of winning a generous cash prize every month – at the same time as donating money to a really worthwhile cause.
To enter the 50:50 lottery you can sign up to pay £5 per month by standing order which purchases your unique number. You can buy as many numbers as you like – the more you have, the greater your chances of winning! Each month four numbers are drawn at random and the prize fund is shared by the lucky winners.
Half of the proceeds raised by the lottery go towards supporting the work of the Trust, whilst the other half is retained as the prize fund. The more 50:50 Lottery members that take part, the larger the fund – and the more money that is raised to support our work helping seriously-ill children and their families.
How you can make a difference through the 50:50 Lottery
Sebastian’s Action Trust receive no government funding so we rely fully on the generous donations of our supporters. The 50:50 Lottery is a great way of supporting our work whilst also having the chance to win a fantastic cash prize.
Here’s just some of the difference your lottery numbers could make:
- £60 (1 number per month for a year) could pay for four youth activity packs for seriously-ill children or their siblings. These are a fantastic resource for our families that can be used at our Sebastian’s Action Trust sites but also at a family home or at hospital, wherever a child needs something to do to keep them entertained or to distract them from the challenges they or their family are facing.
- £120 (2 numbers per month for a year) could pay for three children to attend our Christmas in July event, giving them a fantastic early Christmas celebration and a chance to make memories that their whole family can cherish for a lifetime.
- £300 (5 numbers per month for a year) could pay for six adult counselling sessions. This could be for an older sibling, parent, guardian or grandparent at any point from diagnosis, through treatment or beyond.
