Bereavement support

“I think it is amazing that as the main person for the bereaved families she comes and walks alongside you before the bereavement happens, so that you know her, which is just outstanding, and it is not something that is done anywhere else.”

Family breaks

“A break at The Bluebells has given us an opportunity to spend four days together as a family having a fun, relaxed time, away from our daily stress.”

Youth support

“I’d just finished a really tough shift at work. As I arrived home I heard Tracy (youth support worker) and my daughter singing ‘the wheels on the bus’ via video link, followed by Tracy telling her a story using puppets. To hear my daughter laughing was music to my ears and meant I could leave her to enjoy her time with Tracy while I had a bit of time unwinding from the day.”

Finance and welfare support

“We had someone come to our home as well to do a financial breakdown list of what we may or may not be entitled to. Cause when you have a child with a disability you don’t know where to turn and it was really nice that they came out and talked us through everything. There was no such thing as a silly question as far as they were concerned.”
