Darts competition raises £1,063 for Sebastian’s Action Trust

A darts competition has raised more than £1,000 for a local charity.

The Bobby Cole Memorial Darts competition, held on Saturday, September 26, raised £1,063.28 for Sebastian’s Action Trust.

The Bobby Cole Memorial Darts Competition is a long-running charity darts tournament held at the Wote Street Club in Basingstoke.

The Cole family founded it in 1986 in memory of their brother, Bobby Cole. After a break of around 10 years, Bobby’s great-nephews, Bobby and Daniel Cole, revived the event in 2024.

Bobby said: “It was great to see so many familiar faces at the event; everyone had a great time, and the level of competition seems to increase every year.”

Rob Bruce retained his title by defeating Robert Jones in the final.

Special thanks were given to Wote Street Club and Brian Wrightson, who DJ’d on the night.
