Sebastian’s Action Trust benefits from developer’s donation
The £1,500 from Barratt and David Wilson Homes will be used to provide restorative breaks to families in your area.
The charity provides vital support to families with seriously ill children, offering a range of services including restorative breaks, practical and emotional support, and a bereavement service.
Its fully accessible centre, The Bluebells, near Basingstoke, plays a crucial role in helping nearly 1,700 families across Hampshire, Berkshire, and the surrounding counties.
Ruth Paley, trusts and foundations manager at Sebastian’s Action Trust, said: “We are delighted that the employees at Barratt and David Wilson Homes chose to donate to us. Without donations, we would not be able to provide the support that life-limited children and their families so desperately need. Thank you to Barratt and David Wilson Homes for the wonderful contribution. Together we will continue providing support to seriously ill children and their families living in the south-east.”
Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ donation was made as part of its Community Fund scheme via The Barratt Redrow Foundation, which is run by its parent company, Barratt Developments.
It is designed to support national and local charities, large and small, across the UK, to leave a legacy in the communities in which the housebuilder operates.
The donation from the developer will be used to provide restorative breaks to families with a child at The Bluebells.
