Archie's story

We attend as many SAT events as I can. Without Sebastian’s Action Trust we would miss out on a lot, as parties and events outside of the Trust are not suitable or accessible and Archie wouldn’t be able to take part.

I visit at least every other week for coffee morning in term time, and in the holidays I visit every 4–6 weeks either for a swim slot or an event. My favourite part about Bluebells is it’s allowed me to connect with other families who understand. Before Bluebells we didn’t have anybody to talk to who understood. I’ve made connections with lots of different people and it’s allowed me to build my confidence up, get us out more and provided a safe, accessible place to go.

We haven’t had a respite break yet but have taken Archie to two sensory sleepovers. The apartments are amazing. They have everything you need and are very nice and homely.

I have so many favourite memories. One example is the sensory sleepover Archie attended. I never thought Archie would be able to have a sleepover or hang out with other children, but Sebastian’s just made that happen. To see Archie with a group of friends having a good time was just magical and we both really enjoyed it.

It’s an amazing charity and without it I wouldn’t be the person I am today. It has improved my mental health massively and my confidence. I no longer feel alone.
